Room Service to Russell Crowe

Hello again,

Another week has rolled over in my hospitality life.  I was going to say it is like ground-hog day!  But this is not true.  I do arrive through the same door, at the same time, I do the same things and set up the venue the same way and I offer the chefs and reception staff the same coffees at the same time.  There are many things in my day that are the same but there is one thing that is never the same, service!

It’s Saturday.

40 in my section.

Two Hat dining.

Sink or swim.

Go.

Behind The Curtain

While most people go about their normal lives, another world exists around them. These normal folk constantly visit this other world. They frequent its shores and bask in the sunshine of its hospitable environs, for this is a land of pleasure. Where dreams come true, promises are made, deals are brokered, events are celebrated, and life in general is enjoyed.

For the citizens of this great land, it can weigh heavily upon our shoulders indeed, to ensure that while all this celebrating and enjoyment is taking place, the visitor remains totally unaware of what is unfolding behind the curtain.

About Us

Waitersfriend was conceived on the notion that three waiters from three different backgrounds who have years of experience between them, have a story to tell on how they had all come to work together on the Northern coast of New South Wales, Australia.

From there it quickly became apparent we needed to create a website that offered news, views, reviews, and opinion on all things hospitality. Somewhere for wayward waiters, bartenders, baristas, managers, and anyone in or wanting to get into hospitality (you realise you must be crazy if that is your intent) to turn to for help and advice.
